NEW ORLEANS - Kristin Gisleson Palmer received the endorsement of the Fraternal Order of Police, Crescent City Lodge #2 (FOP). The FOP membership voted in an overwhelming majority to make the endorsement.
“I am humbled by the FOP’s decision to endorse my candidacy. We will work together to ensure our police force receives the resources it needs to keep New Orleans safe,” said Kristin Gisleson Palmer.
With more than 2000 members, including active N.O.P.D. and retirees, the Crescent City Lodge #2 of the Fraternal Order of Police is the largest organization representing New Orleans’ Finest.
"The FOP's membership is comprised of men and women who have dedicated their lives to making New Orleans a safer place. We recognize that making New Orleans a safer place is bigger than just the New Orleans Police Department and involves making New Orleans a better place to visit, live, and conduct business. We are confident that Ms. Palmer has the ideas and commitment necessary to do just that," said Donovan Livaccari, FOP spokesman.
The FOP joins a broad coalition choosing to endorse Ms. Palmer, which includes the Crescent City Democratic Association, New Orleans Coalition, Independent Women’s Organization, Regular Democratic Organization, the Orleans Parish Republican Executive Committee and the Greater New Orleans Republicans PAC.
